U17s V Rochdale

Another tough game and one which started well, both teams playing pretty even and the first half was 7-0, Wids getting opportunities but not able to capitalise through their own lack of composure.

Second half was much the same, started to build pressure but then couldn’t maintain it, Rochdale scoring twice, having to go very wide to do so, but wids not able to answer and with some walking wounded and most of the forwards playing a full game, Rochdale with 11 forwards to rotate through there was some tired bodies at the end.

Another new player on debut and more learning for us all to put into practice and build on as we have a home game next week as we welcome Heaton moor.
