And what a game it promises to be!

Not only are the usual local bragging rights at stake, but this is a game that both teams need to win.

Warrington return to level six after achieving back-to-back promotions in the last two years, and have made a great start to the new season with two wins against Kirkby Lonsdale and Winnington Park.

Their three defeats have come at the hands of Manchester, Northwich and Sandbach, who, ironically are the same three teams who have also beaten Widnes, who themselves have recorded two victories against Kirkby Lonsdale and Firwood Waterloo.

So, with the teams located in sixth and seventh place in the table and separated by just a point, then this one is just too close to call.

In the other senior games; the Seconds are on the road to the Lancashire Coast where they will take on Fylde, whilst the in-form Thirds travel the short distance to face league leaders Newton in Division Four West.

Supporters are reminded that games will now kick off at the earlier time of 2.15pm.
