There will be plenty of familiar faces and local rivalries returning, along with some tough challenges across the North West. With fixtures still to be released, the anticipation is already building as players, coaches, members and supporters begin counting down to the start of the new season.

After a strong 2025/26 campaign that saw the 1st XV secure a play-off place with a fourth place finish, the squad will be eager to go one step further this season. While the Lancashire Cup Final ended in heartbreak by the narrowest of margins last weekend, there is plenty to be proud of and build upon heading into the new campaign.

With a well-earned break now underway, pre-season preparations aren't too far away. Another competitive Regional 2 North West campaign awaits, and we can't wait to see what this group can achieve together in 2026/27.
