The First stage involved applying weed killer to the pitches and training areas.
Since then, new grass seed has been put down, and more recently, around 160 tons of silica sand has been spread over the three areas, with the pitches being vertically drained to aerate the pitches, ease compaction, and enable the sand to enter the holes and improve drainage.
This investment means that the pitches currently remain in excellent condition ahead of the new season which is now just a few short weeks away.
