It is a boost for the club ahead of the delayed start to the 2020-21 season.
Neil Conway, Chief Executive of Merseyflow, said: “We’re proud to be supporting a couple of local sports clubs at the heart of the communities in both Widnes and Runcorn and the ‘Wids’ certainly fit the bill. We know that sport is such a big thing to help build communities and help people manage their physical and mental health.
It’s great to be part of the Wids set up and we just hope that they can move from training to playing games sooner rather than later.”
In response, Widnes RUFC Club President Martin Griffiths said “We are delighted that such a prestigious company as Merseyflow have agreed to support the Club for a further twelve months.
As a Community Rugby Club, we rely very much on the support and generosity of local businesses, and we are absolutely thrilled to have them on board once again”.
