
For a fourth year, the funding will help contribute towards the day to day running of the club, which relies on self-generated income to provide access to sport for players of all levels in Halton.
Neil Conway, Chief Executive of merseyflow, said: “We are pleased to offer our support to clubs in Widnes and Runcorn, like the Wids, that play such an important role in the health and wellbeing of the local community. We are looking forward to watching a match or two and wish the team good luck in the upcoming season.”
In response, Widnes RUFC Club President Gary Clare said “We are delighted that merseyflow have agreed to support the Club for a further twelve months.
As a community rugby club, we rely very much on the support and generosity of local businesses, and we are absolutely thrilled to have them on board once again”.
