Come and join us for fun, friendly, fitness improving Practice sessions on Wednesday evenings thoughout the summer at 7:30 onwards. Starting March 28th

The Table Tennis section recently held it's first AGM as a club resident at WRUFC.

All the club members were unanimous in stating moving to WRUFC was the best decision our club has made. The committee have helped so much by their assistance in making the venue available and the social facilities available to us to entertain our opponents after a match.

All the members wish to thank WRUFC very much indeed.

The members elected George Illidge as Club Captain for 2012/2013 in recognition of George's contrubution to our club. George is already a life member of Halton Table Tennis League.

Members decided on reorganising the teams to recognise the player's club service, accurate player rankings and accurate team rankings, for example, WRU I, now playing in Div II became WRU II and WRU II, now playing in Div I became WRU I.

We are welcoming several new members for next season including some junior players who we hope will compete together as a team playing the occasional game for higher ranked teams to increase their experience and development. The members approved a proposal the Players under 16 or still in fulltime education would NOT be required to pay match subscriptions. They will need to become junior members of WRUFC. Players under 16 will be transported to and brought home from matches by an accompanying senior player/coach (CRB registered of course!)

It is hoped we may also put in another team under the club banner this season, givng us six teams, by far the largest representation from a single club.

We welcome new members at any time as the number of teams we or the league can accomodate is limited only by the demand to play.

However, the philosophy in our club is one of fun, fitness and friendship together with a healthy competitive outlook (in fact, the teams we play against are mainly old friends of ours anyway!) Though everyone likes to win, it is not the overiding factor in our club.

So whether a beginner or an old hand to the sport, come along and join us, I promise you will be made very welcome. The best way to learn and improve is to play. Our players and coaches will be happy to help with advice and coaching.
