Memorable speeches (yes, even I can remember them!) from Lancashire V.P. Dave Matthews, Captain Dave Welsh and the legendary Jim Mills went down very well. The formalities were completed by the excellent Keighley comedian Mike Farrell before the night's awards were handed out.

Comgratulations to all the winners, particularly double winner Taffy. As well as an honours tie, he picked up a signed rugby ball for correctly predicting the length of Big Jim's speech. Taff chose 30 mins because he recalled it was the average time Jim spent on the pitch (and that was before rolling subs!).

Thanks to the catering and bar staff, Mark Cross and all who helped to organise what Mark "Mr Selfridge" Field described as "One of the best club dinners yet". Finally, thanks to the erudite M.C., Tim Hewlett, who held the show together.
