Health, golf and holidays disrupted original plans for our March Wids Culture 26 Walk but, as happened last year, St Wilfrid's came up with a helpful suggestion. The background story is that thousands of pilgrims used to make Norton Priory a Lenten destination. For our purposes, this meant a 5 and a bit mile route across the Mersey and down the Bridgewater towpath. Fuller details will be in the online edition of next week's match programme.
