This is the first of three planned meetings between the sides, with the 'red-and-blacks' scheduled to travel to Manor Park on consecutive weekends in January for the return league game followed by a League Cup Pool fixture.

Oldham were in great form last season - losing only three matches - and were pipped at the post for the league title on the final regular Saturday of the campaign by the men from Heath Road who beat West Park.

Both sides have started the new season with a victory; Widnes eased their way to victory against Fleetwood, whilst Oldham secured a narrow away victory at Liverpool Collegiate.

A big crowd is expected for this one with the result likely to be in doubt until the final whistle.

The other senior games at the weekend will see the Seconds travel to take on Crewe & Nantwich, whilst the Thirds are also on the road at Northwich.

All games kick off at 3.00pm.
