Firwood Waterloo had a great season last year, finishing second in the table behind Birkenhead Park who were promoted.

They have continued that run of form by winning their opening two games to sit in joint first place at the top of Regional 2 North West.

The last time the two teams met was in 2023, when 'Loo edged out Widnes 14 - 6 in the semi-final of the Lancashire Cup.
