After winning the Lancashire Trophy last season, the red-and-blacks have been elevated into the more senior competition, and this game will be a major test for them against a side who compete a level higher than the Wids.

Burnage had a tough season last year in North One West and only avoided the drop in the closing weeks of the campaign, finishing just ahead of Manchester, Anselmians and De La Salle who all went down.

Either way, the game will set Andy McIntosh's charges up nicely for the start of their ADM Premier League campaign which begins on 14th September with a home game against Fleetwood.

A combined Second and Third team also have a pre-season fixture at home to St Edwards Old Boys.

Both games kick off at 3.00pm.
